WHO ARE WE?

The organisers of this Youth in Action project are the civic association EDUCA at Obchodni akademie Karvina together with a non-formal group of students, graduates and teachers called "EUROTEAM"

EUROTEAM is a group of students, graduates and teachers. EUROTEAM works in the field of international projects of various kinds and organises events for other students, young people and public. Members of EUROTEAM took part in various Youth in Action projects in Turkey, Poland, Spain, Luxembourg and France in the last few years. EUROTEAM together with Educa also organised a Youth in Action project in June 2008 named Breaking Stereotypes 2008. The main goal of EUROTEAM is to allow young people to meet students from different European countries, use foreign languages in their real life, combat racism and xenophobia, and encourage the feelings of the European citizenship, tolerance, friendship and international co-operation.

History of EUROTEAM

EUROTEAM was founded in November 2007 in Madrid during a Youth in Action project by three members of the Czech team - Martin Frolík, Gabriela Nowaková and Vladěna Turowská. Since then several students, graduates and teachers have joined the activities organised by EUROTEAM. The members of EUROTEAM took part in various Youth in Action projects in Turkey, Spain, Poland, Luxembourg, and France. EUROTEAM together with a civic association EDUCA organised their first Youth in Action project in Řeka in June 2008 where teams from Czech Republic, Turkey, Poland, Latvia, Italy and Spain participated. In the last three years EUROTEAM also organized a few trips abroad - to Nantes and Paris, to London, Dublin or Birmingham.
